MI - Servo Motor Manager

Responsibilities
  • Manage and organize the department to achieve goals of growth, service excellence and increased profitability.
  • Assign jobs to technicians.
  • Answer status request from customer service/customers/ and the sales team.
  • Monitor the technicians’ hours to meet the current workload.
  • Verify all technicians are on time and performing duties during hours of operations.
  • Manage and ensure that the servomotor and servo valve techs  are able troubleshoot, repair, and test all types of AC/DC servo motors, servo valves, proportional valves.
  • Set up repair and test procedures for new repair items.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.  
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department.
  • Perform yearly performance reviews with all direct reports.
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned. 


General Education, Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience – 8+ years of experience in managing a servomotor production, or servo valve production, industrial repair, and service industry preferred.
  • Able to read and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic schematics.  
  • Willing to travel to other Paragon locations and customer sites.
  • Able to work weekends and answer after hours calls from account managers and customers.

  • Follow-Up: Establishing procedures to monitor the results of delegations, assignments, or projects; taking into consideration the skills, knowledge, and experience of the assigned individual and characteristics of the assignment or project.

  • Initiative: Asserting one’s influence over events to achieve goals; self-starting rather than accepting passively; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.

  • Planning and Organizing (Work Management): Establishing a course of action to accomplish a specific goal; planning proper assignments of personnel and appropriate allocation of resources.
