Supervisor Operations / Production

This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently looking for a Supervisor Operations / Production This role will be onsite at our Ottawa Manufacturing site in Ottawa, OH. As a Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the efforts of hourly production employees to achieve established safety, quality, cost, and production objectives in the Built in Refrigeration Value Stream. You will be responsible for all labor management, hourly evaluation, and employee issue resolution activities. In addition, you will develop leaders and support all team activities.

Your responsibilities will include

• 
  Serve as the primary leader to support the execution and control of plant Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance versus goals.
• Nurture a high level of leadership and team performance to deliver the plant scorecard
• Responsible for development of team and individuals in all areas
• Learn and embed World Class Manufacturing methodology in your department of responsibility
• Drive continuous improvement in area of responsibility relative to business objectives
• Prioritize and organize short term and long term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives
• Coach team to follow manufacturing standards/methods
• Coach team to follow the Whirlpool Leadership Model
• Practice positive employee relations and develop self and others
• Employee mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective actions

Minimum requirements

• 
  Associate's degree (completed or in progress with anticipated completion by December 2023)
• 1+ years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment

Preferred skills and experiences

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain
• Familiarity with Whirlpool policies and employee relations procedures
• Proven success in a fast-paced environment
• Proven success in the personal development of employees
• WCM (World Class Manufacturing) experience
