We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Project Manager within our Supply Chain team to help support our Adjustable Bed business. As a Supply Chain Project Manager you will have the opportunity to define the scope and objective of the projects in collaboration with team members. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope and budget. So, what will you be doing as a Supply Chain Project Manager?

Define the scope and objective of the project in collaboration with the supply chain team member responsible

Monitor the progress of the project using the appropriate tools and project management techniques and make changes as necessary

Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders and management in the organization on the progress of the project

Review the quality of work completed with the project team on a regular basis
-
Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured and available for review
-
Design, communicate, and implement a detailed project plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

Conduct project meetings and prepare reports on the project and project savings/avoidances for management and finance organization

Understand customer needs and objectives to ensure requirements are covered
-
Ensure timelines are created and the team is tracking to the timeline

Manage agendas and meeting recaps/minutes to ensure all project tasks and goals are being accomplished as expected

Evaluates the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

Performs risk management to minimize project risks and escalates to management as needed.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
-
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, finance, or business administration is required
-
5 - 8 years’ experience managing large, complex enterprise projects, particularly those involving a medium to significant degree of change across the organization

Global Supply chain experience

Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
-
Capability to define and execute change strategies

Management of internal & external resources
- Organization of competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude

Analytical capabilities to solve complex business issues

Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills needed to communicate with all levels of the organization, including international sites and time zones

Proficiency Microsoft Office, Project and Visio programs
-
Travel as needed (less than 10%)
-
End to end supply chain understanding including manufacturing, planning, order management, inventory control, logistics/distribution, accounts receivable
