Supply Worker Position
Job Purpose: The Supply Worker is responsible for delivering the materials required to produce sheeted gum following the established manufacturing procedures and prescribed formulas with exactness.
Shifts:
2nd Shift 8 Hour Afternoons:
2:30pm - 11pm Monday – Friday
3rd Shift 8 Hour Nights:
10:30pm - 7am Sunday – Thursday
12 Hour Night Shift:
This schedule restarts every 2 weeks.
Week 1: You work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You are off Wednesday and Thursday.
Week 2: You work Wednesday, and Thursday. You are off Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
What we are looking for?
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math skills required to calculate ingredients
- Forklift operation
- Participate as a team player in accomplishing all company goals and objectives
- Follow established manufacturing guidelines
- Adhere to quality assurance standards
- This position requires a Work Keys Certification and successful completion of the Standard Timing Model Assessment.
- Ability to understand, communicate, read and write basic work-related English.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying of supplies (25-50 lbs)
- Frequent bending/stooping while supplying materials
- Frequent twisting
- Frequent lifting/carrying loads of gum (30 lbs - 50 lbs)
- Frequent pushing/pulling gum carts (up to 700 lbs)
- Frequent handling of gum barrels (up to 100 lbs)
What will be your key responsibilities?
- This position is responsible for delivering gum or supplies to the packaging department.
- The Supply Worker provides machine operators and overwrap lines with materials such as gum, single stick paper, labels, hot and cold glue, etc.
- The incumbent must create transfer orders and confirm materials in SAP.
- The incumbent must track materials in SAP and is responsible for resolving inventory discrepancies.
- The incumbent must conduct daily inventory of materials.
- The Supply Worker is responsible for transporting materials from one area to another by forklift.
- The incumbent carefully stacks gum onto carts to ensure that the operators are always supplied with gum in good condition so that the wrapping machines can produce optimally.
- The incumbent must be observant of gum quality to ensure contaminants do not enter the finished product.
- This position is responsible for moving full barrels of waste and replacing them with empties.
- The incumbent performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, washing gum trucks, cleaning conveyors and other various equipment, etc.
- The supply worker must prepare materials for recycling and remove all damaged product from the area.
- The incumbent must work in a safe manner and must follow all safety procedures.
- The person in this position is responsible for properly following all QA, Food Safety and Legislative policies, systems and standards associated with gum handling.
- The incumbent is cross-trained to perform all support roles (previously referred to as Forklift Driver, Gum Supply, Utility and Material Supply) in the department.
- The incumbent is accountable for the department meeting all productivity, quality and safety requirements on a daily basis.
Warehouse Worker Position
Job Purpose: The Warehouse Worker is responsible for demonstrating all JDA/SAP functions in receiving, cycle count, backflush, and shipping. A Warehouse Worker may inspect and load trucks, verify orders for accuracy and stretch wrap all outgoing finished gum pallets. Requires working with a Robotic palletizer for all Autonomous Maintenance. Position holders in receiving verified paperwork for quantity, SKU, and Purchase Order numbers. Inspects trailer and unloads materials. Checks Inventory Management Information System to verify the information is correct. Put away conformation is necessary to accurately reflect all inventory transactions operating PLC-driven state-of-the-art high-speed wrapping machinery with attached automatic boxing-off or bagging units.

- 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining high-speed production
machinery
- Independently operate a high speed wrapping machines meeting all safety, quality
and productivity requirements.

- 2 years warehouse and forklift experience
- Keep accurate inventory records
- Can use computer systems to order and return materials
- Follow all GMP’s/PPE for site
- Keep accurate quality checks

Preferred Qualifications:
- CDL "A" License must be able to drive a semi-truck or a yard dog
- A tractor-trailer (18-wheeler)
- Tractor trailer buses
- Tankers
- Flatbeds
- Most vehicles that you can operate with a Class B or C CDL
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Loads and unloads trucks according to system requirements and allocations.
- Completing all required JDA/SAP transactions.
- AM activities required for role.
- Receiving Materials and Shipping Materials.
- Inspecting and loading trucks
- Clerical duties; coordinating and scheduling freight carrier arrivals.
- Move materials and ingredients to storage areas.
- Lead TPM
At Mars you must be capable of efficiently and safely producing a quality product. To ensure this, all new hires will go through a stringent onboarding and training program for the first 6 weeks of employment.

In addition, there will be periodic assessments and evaluation of skills development over this training period. Failure to continuously obtain the skills needed to meet the expectations of a Supply/Warehouse Worker may result in your separation from Mars.
