GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for working cross functionally to deeply understand the drivers of Sustainability and ESG reporting against the MillerKnoll 2030 goals. Develop and maintain processes and systems to ensure the accuracy of Sustainability reporting across all the MillerKnoll brands. Serves as the liaison between the Sustainability team and cross functional global teams to provide sustainability leadership and expertise, and help integrate MillerKnoll’s sustainability strategy across our global brands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Create guidelines, checklists, policies, procedures, and other related program content, to align with best practice and frameworks, and enable MillerKnoll to carry out seamless ESG reporting.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Global ESG models.
  • Key participant to implement all MillerKnoll targeted sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure global compliance with corporate ESG Reporting.
  • Identify complex problems, research, develop, evaluate and implement creative solutions.
  • Participate/lead cross-functional project teams as sustainability expert, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested.
  • Represent MillerKnoll at sustainability meetings and customer presentations.
  • Lead or provide advisory support for ESG reports and communications.
  • Monitor and bring proactive leadership to current ESG trends, reporting and disclosure requirements, and best practices
  • Support overall corporate sustainability goals.
  • Works closely with and encourages team participation with all functional areas within MK, with focus on customers and supplier network.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Design, Sustainable Business or General Business, masters degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience with ESG reporting preferred
  • A subject matter expertise in key frameworks and standards, such as SASB, TCFD, SBTi, GHG Protocol, CSRD and CDP.
  • Ability to assess priorities and determine course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision and be able to anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to changes, which affect project plans.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ESG/environment/sustainable business practices and impact
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and develop strong business relationship.
  • Able to influence across functions, and communicate clearly and effectively, translating complex concepts for a range of audiences
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools currently being used in the HMI office environment.
  • Requires initiative, business acumen, adaptability and tenacity to persevere in challenging assignments.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international) of the time.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
