About SV Academy: SV Academy is your fast track to a rewarding career in the tech industry. This is a unique opportunity to participate in our comprehensive BDR Residency. The Residency consists of a free two-week training period followed by a full-time W2, salaried, 12-week Residency with one of our Employer Partners. Residents will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world experience to prepare them for a successful career in sales. As an Associate Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a critical role in driving our growth by identifying and qualifying potential customers. You will be the first point of contact for prospects and will help build a pipeline of qualified leads for our sales team. This is an entry-level position with significant growth opportunities for motivated individuals who are eager to start a career in sales. Key Role Responsibilities for your Residency: • Research and identify new client opportunities based on ideal client profiles and their needs in target accounts • Apply sales development best practices to engage with prospects via email, phone and social outreach, articulating the value of our product against their needs • Utilize discovery and objection handling strategies to speak knowledgeably with decision makers and to build interest in our offerings • Coordinate meetings on an Account Executive’s calendar and log activities in Salesforce • Meet monthly and quarterly qualified meeting and revenue quotas • Complete accurate tracking of activity in Salesforce, Salesloft, and other tools Who We’re Looking For: • Passionate about sales: Whether you are a recent grad, have sales experience or are transitioning from another career/industry; you possess the drive and ambition to succeed. Sales is about perseverance. • Strong communicator: You will be learning the skills to become a world class business leader -- your written, verbal and presentation skills need to be on point. • Organized: You’ll be busy helping our sales team close major deals -- and you’ll need to keep yourself focused and on task. Time management and prioritization are key. • Growth minded: Our business is rapidly evolving, and we want you to do the same. We will give you the training, tools and guidance necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment; it’s up to you to apply that learning and growth with us. You are humble, eager to learn, get coaching, and improve. • Goal-oriented: Organized: You’ll be busy helping our sales team close major deals -- and you’ll need to keep yourself focused and on task. Time management and prioritization are key.
