Role
As a member of the Plataine Professional Services team, the Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist plays a pivotal role in an exciting, customer-facing position that combines technical expertise with interpersonal skills to successfully implement Plataine's product offerings, support post-sales activities, implementation and customer success and ensure customer satisfaction.
The Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist will work closely with customers and partners to understand their business requirements and pain points. This role involves participating in the solution-design process, leading the implementation of production optimization solutions, providing technical support during and after implementation, and offering on-site assistance to customers during testing and go-live phases. Additionally, the Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist will collaborate with the sales team on pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, demonstrations, and addressing technical questions.
Main Responsibilities:
• Collaborate directly with customers and partners to understand their business requirements and pain points.
• Participate in the solution-design process to ensure deliverables meet customer needs.
• Lead the implementation process of production optimization solutions, including project management, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and hands-on application configuration and testing.
• Work with sub-contractors as necessary.
• Provide technical support to customers during and after the implementation phase.
• Deliver technical training to customer technical staff.
• Provide on-site support to customers during testing and go-live phases to ensure successful deployment.
• Consult and assist customers in fine-tuning application functionality and optimization elements to meet their service business objectives.
• Provide technical and process-related support to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including solution scoping, product demonstrations, and addressing technical questions.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop compelling value propositions and tailor presentations to customer needs.
• Assist in creating and reviewing sales materials, such as proposals, case studies, and white papers.
Requirements:
• Technical 2- or 4-year degree – advantage
• 2 - 4 years of experience in manufacturing environment (customer facing is a plus)
• Strong desire to work both in design and in 'hands-on' implementation modes in the delivery of Plataine’s solutions
• Experience in leading software projects – advantage
• Experience with the implementation of enterprise commercial business application (e.g. CRM, MES, ERP) – advantage
• Working knowledge of Hardware components (Desktops, Laptops, Servers)
• Working knowledge of Windows PC/Server maintenance and troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of networking components and infrastructure (Lan / Wan, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS,FW) - advantage
• Familiarity with AWS will be - advantage
• Experience with written functional specification
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
• Strong analytic skills and high-level decision-making
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to travel: up to 40% when appropriate
