Job Details:

Purpose

Configure, assemble, test, troubleshoot, integrate, validate and document large and small networked and sonar systems in the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document unit level and system level test plans and procedures.
  • Develop and execute automated test routines through scripting languages and other associated open source tools.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, test and validate Linux-based computer systems and network equipment based on managed configurations and plans, and publish test results.
  • Document and troubleshoot issues and track and document resolutions with recommended improvements.
  • Assemble, test and integrate large and small hardware and software systems.
  • Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline with related experience testing and integrating large and small networked computer systems.
  • Experience with test plans and procedures.
  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Experience with Linux.

Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time. The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients. Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Regular and punctual attendance.

US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of professional experience as a Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting computer and networked systems.
  • Experience developing and executing test procedures.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining a database of issues and resolutions.
  • Experience with test automation tools and associated scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps concepts and tool chains.
  • Knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools.
  • Eligibility for immediate access to classified information.

Salary Range

$78,000 - $120,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications
