Full-Stack Web Developer
Description
As a Full-Stack Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our web presence, maintaining our systems, improving integrations, and developing features that delight our customers. You will work closely with Operations, Marketing, Product Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our platforms are robust, secure, and aligned with our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- BigCommerce Features and Maintenance
- Develop and maintain custom widgets for enhanced functionality
- Build and refine themes to align with brand guidelines
- Support and enhance the B2B portal to meet business needs
- Configure and support integrations with third-party tools and platforms
- Implement customer experience improvements based on feedback and analytics
- Provide technical support for Marketing team initiatives

Maintain and improve the BigCommerce to Odoo integration (python)
- Assist Operations and Accounting with integration improvements and automation

Web hosting/infrastructure maintenance
- Manage hosting requirements, including responding to WHOIS data requests
- Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of SSL certificates
- Monitor and address notifications from hosting platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Maintain NTS time servers
- Troubleshoot and resolve periodic Microsoft email outages
- Investigate and mitigate security issues promptly

Content Platform Maintenance
- Maintain the System76 blog (NuxtJS, Prismic as a CMS, tailwindcss)
- Maintain the System76 support articles site (NuxtJS, tailwindcss)
- Manage and distribute Pop!_OS ISOs for public accessibility

Compliance and Account Management
- Handle and complete account deletion requests in compliance with applicable regulations

Communication Platform Migration and Maintenance
- Maintain and upgrade the company's Mattermost instance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in modern web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with Python (BigCommerce/Odoo integration)
- Experience integrating APIs effectively into user interfaces
- Familiarity with AWS
- Docker experience
- Hands-on experience with BigCommerce, Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
- Experience managing SSL certificates and handling hosting-related tasks
- Knowledge of self-hosting and managing platforms like Mattermost
- Strong understanding of database management (mysql, postgres)

Salary
$90,000 - $120,000 per year
