Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is primarily responsible for facilitating the Hiring and Selection process throughout the company. This includes assisting managers with identifying critical business needs within any department, creating thorough job descriptions for each role, or updating prior job descriptions to meet the current need, assisting the manager through the interview process through resume reviews, phone screening and in-person interviewing, and extending offers of employment. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will engage heavily with leaders at every level of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting General
Works with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs within various departments within the company.
Recruits Heinens associates at all levels for all locations, including store, distribution/warehouse, food production, and corporate office.
Provides consistent day-to-day recruiting support source, screen, pass on for final vetting.
Manages interview processes and candidate feedback.
Assists with the creation and promotion of employment branding Initiatives, including maintenance of the company careers site.
Participates on interview panels, as requested.
Leads company hiring events/job fairs, both virtual and in person.
Manages college/university, high school, and specialty school career services relationships.
Recruiting Hiring Activities & Tracking
Provides weekly recaps to hiring managers.
Manages open positions; collects needs monthly.
Maintains offer letter templates and assists in the creation of new offers.
Maintains Job Description Library and assists Hiring Managers with creating Job Descriptions on an ongoing basis.
Creates behavioral based interview guides, based on competencies outlined within the job description.
Maintains tracking of current open positions and corresponding recruiting metrics. Regularly provides reporting and insights to leadership.
Assists with the facilitation of the Heinens Internship Program, including selection, tracking, assignments, and potential placements.
Participates in on-campus recruiting events, as needed.
Recruiting Onboarding & Orientation
Manages the onboarding and orientation processes across all company locations. Provides best practices and guidance to site leaders.
Manages offer candidate background check process. Interprets and gives ultimate hiring guidance based on background check results.
Manages offer letter process to finalists; generates and presents offer letters.
Recruiting - Site Management & Administration
Creates new position searches and job openings.
Monitors candidate flow daily.
Monitors candidate pre-boarding and onboarding process (includes eVerify and WOTC processes).
Monitors job postings and location job boards.
Manages overall use of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), with an eye for continuous improvement.
Assists with posting new jobs, refreshes postings regularly.
Utilizes industry best practices to effectively engage active and passive candidates on social sites.
Leverages analytics dashboards to assist leaders and improve the overall hiring process.
Reviews, improves, and manages content across all recruiting sites (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Facilitates new user training.
Leverages analytics dashboards to assist leaders and improve the overall hiring process.
Communicates and implements all system improvements and new features.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors degree required.
Able to communicate and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the company and in various levels of leadership.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, with minimal oversight, while meeting deadlines and maintaining a careful attention to detail.
Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize.
Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite including: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
