We are looking for a Product Design Intern to join our Product team this Summer! The Intern will assist a Senior Designer in the end-to-end design process, focusing on creating features that address the diverse needs of users with an accessibility-first approach. Additionally, they practice a human-centered design approach to solve real-world problems through empathy, ideation, iteration, and testing. The Product Design Intern will have the opportunity to work on member-facing features and contribute to the design system.

*This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC*

Internship Details:

  • Duration: June 2nd, 2025 - August 22nd, 2025
  • Commitment: 20 hours per week
  • Projects: You'll work on 2-3 key initiatives, with one serving as your final deliverable. 
  • Compensation: Our compensation policy ensures a minimum of $15/hour or the legally required local minimum wage, whichever is greater, to maintain fairness across regions.
  • Mentorship: You'll be paired with a Talkspace mentor to guide you throughout the program.

  • User Research
    • Conduct user research and engage with our communities,
      contributing to a deeper understanding of user needs.
  • Accessibility First Designs
    • Assist a Senior Designer in the end-to-end design process of
      designing features that address the diverse needs of our users.
  • Design Thinking
    • Practice human-centered design approach to solve real-world
      problems through empathy, ideation, iteration, and testing.
  • Design System
    • Contribute to Talkspace's Design System to ensure consistency and efficiency across our products.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About You 

  • Rising juniors and seniors in undergraduate degree, or enrolled in a graduate program.
  • Ability to take ownership of work and drive projects forward independently.
  • Strong Desire to learn along with professional drive.
  • Commitment to working 20 hours per week during the summer.
  • Passion for being in the details, ensuring every document, project, or experience is on-point and on-brand.
  • Strong communicator (verbal & written) with the ability to listen, articulate positions, advocate, and execute ideas.
