Job Title: Construction Manager – Data Center Projects

Job Type: Contract (Hourly)
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee mission-critical Data Center projects for one of the world's largest cloud providers. This role will involve close collaboration with project teams, general contractors, and various consultants to ensure the successful delivery of construction phases. This opportunity involves the remediation of existing pre-engineered modular buildings (PEMB) and overseeing the expansion of three data center buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and maximizing cost savings.
Act as the primary point of contact for project communication and represent the owner’s interests.
Work closely with the general contractor, ensuring compliance with the project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Coordinate with design services, third-party inspection teams, and quantity surveying teams for a smooth project flow.
Monitor progress on-site and assess field conditions, providing independent evaluations on scope, cost, and schedule.
Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and communicate any changes promptly.
Assist in handling project disputes with contractors by preparing correspondence and reports.
Ensure all project deliverables are completed within the specified timelines.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in construction management, with a focus on commercial, institutional, or mission-critical projects of similar size and scope.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management. Alternatively, 15 years of documented experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
Proficiency in construction project management software and tools (Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for security clearance and access to project documents.
Experience in managing multiple project phases, including pre-construction, construction, and closeout.
Strong understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex data center projects.
Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle project disputes effectively.
Familiarity with the U.S. Government’s security requirements for data center projects.
Contract Details:
Start Date: September 2024
Duration: Through May 2025, with potential for extension based on project phases.
Compensation: Hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
This position requires on-site presence in Denver, CO, with no rotating staffing plans.
