We’re Hiring: Software Engineering Interns

Talos is excited to offer internship opportunities for students eager to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines. We are seeking enthusiastic and talented interns who enjoy tackling complex problems. There are opportunities across various Engineering functions, such as  Backend, Client Services, Connectivity, Data, Frontend, and TechOps. As an Engineering Intern, you will have the chance to work on real-world projects, contribute to innovative solutions, and collaborate with engineers who have built trading systems for some of the world’s largest financial institutions. Using best-practice and modern tools, we’re building from scratch, so that Talos is ready for the unique challenges this industry faces. Are you ready to Build Ambitiously? 

This is a 12-week program that will run from June to August 2025. This internship is only open to current university students graduating Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Location for our Engineering Internships will depend on the team, but we have openings in NYC, London, Singapore, and Nicosia. Work authorization in the internship location is required. Sponsorship for internships is not available at this time.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities and duties will vary depending on what function you join. Some examples of what you might work on:

Front-End Engineering Intern:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of user-facing features for our web applications.

• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Learn and apply best practices in front-end development.

Backend Engineering Intern:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of server-side logic.

• Work on database schemas, data storage solutions, and application APIs.

• Ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.

• Assist in the integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end engineers.

Data Engineering Intern:

• Contribute to the design and construction of platform infrastructure for processing and analyzing large volumes of market data and client transactions.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using information from the Talos platform and external market data sources.

• Utilize database systems, gain an understanding of analytics and application databases.

• Explore cutting-edge technology developments for handling and processing big data.

Client Support Intern:

• Assist in automation to help the team deal with client issues in a timely and efficient manner.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and address client needs.

• Learn and apply best practices in client support and relationship management.

TechOps Intern:

• Ensure the stability of the existing infrastructure while working on the next generation of infrastructure as a service.

• Collaborate with expert engineers to learn and implement standard processes, automation, and continuous improvement.

• Design automation solutions for ticketing systems to streamline incident response.

• Develop reporting mechanisms to provide insights into system health and incident trends.

Qualifications

• Class of 2026 pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Proven hands-on experience in financial institutions or technology companies. Understanding of trading technology is a plus.

• Experience or exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS

• Strong command of programming languages. You thrive during the full-code life-cycle. You enjoy creating solutions to problems and coding projects outside of school/work

• Strong verbal and written communication. You can break down big ideas to their smallest parts, and take small parts to create big ideas. High level and detailed communication comes easily. 

• An energetic, creative, and autonomous self-starter. You take a challenge straight on and consider yourself a doer. 

• Interest in digital assets markets/trading is a plus
