The Manager of Cybersecurity Engineering and Architecture is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the cybersecurity engineering and architecture functions within the organization. As a highly respected professional with extensive experience, you will manage a team of talented Cybersecurity Engineers and Architects, including Cybersecurity Engineers, Senior Cybersecurity Engineers, Principal Cybersecurity Engineers, Cybersecurity Architects, Senior Cybersecurity Architects, and Principal Cybersecurity Architects. Your leadership will ensure that the organization's security posture is robust, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies. Your profound expertise in advanced security technologies—such as Ping Identity, CyberArk, Venafi, SecureLink, Active Directory—and mastery of MFA, SSO, Kerberos, Passkeys, and encryption protocols will enable you to guide your team in designing and deploying cutting-edge security solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the organization's security policies, procedures, and standards, fostering a culture of security excellence and innovation.Your contributions will have a significant impact on the organization's ability to protect its critical assets and maintain the trust of stakeholders. Your role demands a high degree of responsibility, expertise, and leadership.Responsibilities• Lead and manage the cybersecurity engineering and architecture teams, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and initiatives in collaboration with executive leadership.• Oversee the design and deployment of advanced security solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and architects on complex security issues and projects.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security considerations into all aspects of system development and operations.• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.• Foster a culture of security excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and organization.• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on security initiatives, risks, and performance metrics.• Represent the cybersecurity engineering and architecture functions in governance committees and strategic planning sessions.• Oversee incident response activities, providing leadership during security events and coordinating with other departments.• Engage with vendors and partners to evaluate and implement security products and services.• Ensure that the team stays abreast of emerging threats and technologies, adapting strategies accordingly.• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members, enhancing overall team capabilities.Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Proven track record of successfully managing complex security projects and initiatives.• Extensive experience in managing and leading cybersecurity engineering and architecture teams.• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).• Proficiency in advanced security technologies such as Ping Identity, CyberArk, Venafi, SecureLink, and Active Directory.• Expertise in authentication mechanisms, including MFA, SSO, Kerberos, Passkeys, and encryption protocols.• Strong knowledge of network security, application security, and data protection strategies.• Ability to develop and implement security strategies aligned with business objectives.• Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills to develop high-performing teams.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a strategic mindset.• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and ensuring organizational adherence.• Ability to influence organizational change and foster a culture of security awareness.• Proficiency in risk management methodologies and practices.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field of study• 5+ years of management experience
