1. Oversee the general merchandise department and ensure that all products are stocked and displayed in an organized and visually appealing manner.
2. Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
3. Train, coach, and motivate team members to meet and exceed sales goals and ensure excellent customer service.
4. Create and maintain a positive and efficient work environment for team members.
5. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to ensure timely restocking of products.
6. Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase guest satisfaction.
7. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make necessary adjustments to achieve sales goals.
8. Communicate with upper management regarding sales, inventory, and other relevant information.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations.
10. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
11. Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure a seamless shopping experience for guests.
12. Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
13. Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information.
14. Take responsibility for the overall profitability and success of the general merchandise department.
15. Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness in the general merchandise department.
