As TD puts career development at the forefront of our colleague experience, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Line of Business:Credit ManagementJob Description:The Regional Credit Operations Director II provides vision and leadership in developing, implementing and maintaining credit management operations procedures and processes to support positive financial results and growth of the brand. Acts as liaison between credit management and other business lines to address issues affecting underwriting, efficiency or the Customer/Employee Experience.Depth & Scope:• Strategic thinker, focused future, foresees gaps and trends will use their influence to ensure direction across the Region, collaborate with Business Partners to ensure compliant with overall strategy• Serves as operations Senior Lead for projects impacting regional network working with Regional Commercial Credit Management to facilitate market wide initiatives, reporting, market expansion, consolidation, system changes, and best practices applying high level of expertise and project management skills• Challenges status quo and drives change by being a 'change agent' ultimately with the focus of ensuring commercial underwriting consistency• Collaborates with Senior Leadership to ensure visibility and timely handling of issues and participate in the formulation of resolution plans as required, M&C Escalation, Audit Remediation Plans, Dashboard and related scorecards• Ensures the overall portfolio is comprehensively monitored and controlled consistently adhering to and administered within approved standardized guidelines and in line with established operating policies and procedures• Completes periodic reviews of operational excellence and consistent practices• Collaborates with credit management managers to coach and mentor credit analyst trainees in region ensuring compliance training stats meet 100% completion goal• Partners with and provide strategic input to Regional Commercial Credit Management team to consistently focus on Elevate Commercial• Interprets and applies TD's risk management strategy (both credit and operational)• Understands changing market conditions and remain knowledgeable of relevant industry issues• Participates in developing policy, procedure and processes• Provides direction and recommendations on behalf of commercial credit management administration by participating in various initiatives• May lead a regional support team providing governance and oversight to operational practices and identify strengths and improvement opportunitiesEducation & Experience:• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience• Minimum 7 years experience in related field• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to complete actions timely, project management knowledgeable preferred• Strong credit underwriting and administration background, with the ability to identify and mitigate risk• Demonstrated ability to influence others actions and decisions successfully without express authority within the assigned Region and Market• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrated process knowledge and improvement practice• Prior supervisory experience required• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of credit policies and procedures• PC experience including Microsoft Office Suite and Company applications as necessary• Travel within the Metro region is required and travel outside the Metro region/market may be necessaryThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
