We are looking for an experienced Team Lead, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis for Flix North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, identifying and monitoring key performance indicators, developing and refining financial models, and leading budget and forecast work streams for the entire Flix North America segment. The Team Lead Financial Planning & Analysis will work closely with Flix headquarters finance to improve consolidation, reporting and analytical processes, provide information and insights to segment and parent company leadership, support strategic initiatives, and recommend corrective action to meet financial targets.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- Lead North America forecast and budget process and prepare consolidated executive reporting packages with key drivers and insights
- Prepare financial summaries for reporting to parent company, work directly with HQ controlling team on reconciling results and aligning on business insights
- Prepare 3-statement financial statements for forecast, budget, and internal long term plan
- Work closely with HQ Controlling team on various North America related initiatives to ensure delivery of target
- Analyze financial and non-financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation
- Review month end results, forecast and budget assumptions, challenge results and business performance
- Create and maintain financial reports for Flix C- Level and stakeholders as well as provide financial guidance and support to other departments
- Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance at North America segment level
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and support strategic initiatives
- Works with business unit and senior management to develop critical business initiatives and KPIs, includes LTP, productivity initiatives etc.
- Quickly adapt to changing situations and make logical ‘common sense’ decisions to complete tasks at hand and achieve department objectives
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other quantitative business field
- Minimum of 5 years’ directly related experience
- Experience working in a matrix organization structure and multi-location and/or multi-national environment
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and draw conclusions and recommendations from financial and non-financial data and trends
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial results to senior leaders
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigating between competing priorities, quickly identify and manage prioritization, be able to meet business deliverables
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred
- MBA or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or other quantitative business field
- Oracle Fusion, Adaptive Insights, Thinkcell, JD Edwards and Hyperion Planning proficiency
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in either a private equity-backed company or publicly-traded company
