We're looking for a motivated and driven Senior Manager Internal Communication & Events who will help us drive the company to the next level and have the most direct influence on our success.
In this role, you will build and implement internal communication tactics, campaigns and events that are designed to inform and inspire employees on prioritized topics and narratives across North America. Through your exciting events you will bring our team members together, provide them with precious moments which contribute to our team culture. In this role you are a strategic and creative storyteller who can work across teams and with various executives to mine for compelling stories, events and content ideas. You will steer Internal Communications and Events across our compound North America Employee base from various businesses and in different locations and will report to the CEO of Flix North America.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- Develop and drive communications that inform and inspire employees around the company’s vision, cultural values, business strategy, projects & initiatives, and other priorities
- Create, manage, and own the internal communications and events calendar for the North America region including Flix and Greyhound across all channels and across different formats in alignment with North America Senior Management and HQ Internal Communications Team (intranet, townhalls, email, events, internal media)
- Ensure organizational initiatives, HR programs and change management projects are successfully communicated to employees via robust campaigns and events. Support regular communication to our employees from the management team and other stakeholders through various channels
- Communicate effectively through various mediums and customize content to reach different audiences; leverage innovation to try new tools and ways to connect our team with our leaders and business goals
- Manage the company’s intranet including being responsible for the site look and feel, content creation and measuring employee engagement. Responsible for partnering with cross-functional partners on developing and sharing content
- Develop proactively event ideas, concepts, campaigns and formats. Identify event opportunities based on the internal communications roadmap and business opportunities, ensuring consistency and creativity throughout all event touchpoints
- Conceptualize, plan and execute our internal events (digital, hybrid & on-site) such as townhalls, get-together, big company events, and other occasional events
- You will be responsible for project management as well as successful event execution, and agency steering for bigger events
- You will be accompanied by motivated peers to support you
- Close collaboration with Global HQ Internal Communications team
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Desired 5+ years of experience in Internal communications within a global company with audiences in dispersed locations and work settings, and ideally 2+ years of communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing experience in a corporate setting, the field of technology or transportation is a plus
- Extensive experience in planning and coordinating company / corporate events and road shows
- Bachelor’s / preferred Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- Excellent writing and oral skills in English are a must, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative
- Experience developing and managing an editorial calendar with engaging content across a variety of channels, formats, and long/short term planning
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management, seasoned in sourcing content from various departments and stakeholders and a talent for networking, listening, and gathering information
- Practice in developing creative, effective approaches to reach a diverse audience with visual storytelling, video production, social media and curious to experiment with multimedia to develop cutting-edge communication formats and virtual event platforms such as MS Teams
- Possess a strategic approach to problem solving; Ability to anticipate communications occasions, turn them into proactive narratives and steer across channels and audiences
- Project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects at once with competing priorities
- Superior organizational skills including efficient time management, and meticulous attention to detail
- Creative tools- and tech-savviness to generate and publish visually appealing content. Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) is a plus
- Talent as speaker, host, moderator, and interviewer is a plus
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment and showing initiative
- Experience in managing budgets and expense tracking
- Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement
