Developing IT for tomorrow's communication with Telefónica.

Within Telefónica Germany, we develop the IT systems in different agile teams and thus build the applications to enable the communication of tomorrow.

You will work in a team that takes care of the applications to provision and manage communication connections.

We are currently transforming our system stack as part of the RAITT (Radical Architecture IT Transformation) program, working closely with our business units in an agile set-up in tribes and squads.


What to expect

  • Independent technical product and process management in close cooperation with the specialist departments (Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Online Channel etc.) to define and develop features and services of the MassMarket customer segment using an agile approach with a focus on technical topics
  • Independent determination of the high-level technical solutions together with the architects and domain managers for the MassMarket BSS Solutions area
  • Technical expert for the development team on topics related to programming, application architecture, development process, test automation and CI/CD
  • Actevely supports further DevOps transformation
  • Stakeholder management to prioritize the backlog of the responsible business value streams of the customer journeys
  • Independent coordination of the solution concepts of BSS Solutions with all involved requesters, users and stakeholders from different areas
  • Responsible for carrying out assessments / requirement engineering as well as cost estimation and cost control for solutions
  • Technical advice and support for the business units in the development of new products and services
  • Control and management of external suppliers: ensuring quality (test management / quality assurance), provision of resources and corresponding delivery management
  • Close cooperation with other development and operational areas as well as the business areas throughout the company
  • Optimization of existing processes and development of new solutions

What you bring

  • Completed university degree or comparable in the field of computer science, communication technology or similar
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of agile technical product management and agile software development (desirable in the field of telecommunications)
  • Extensive knowledge of IT, ITIL, software development, software architecture
  • Experience in agile working methods such as Kanban, Scrum, Less or Safe as well as CI/CD and DevOps through at least 1 year of professional experience
  • Good knowledge of open source tools, Java, Kafka, openAPI, scripting, SQL and Linux.
  • Strong team orientation, ability to motivate and organizational skills
  • Structured, self-dependent and result-oriented way of working with a high level of initiative
  • Certification in one of the basic cloud technologies (AWS, Google) is an advantage
  • Business fluent English skills required and good knowledge of German is an advantage
