This is a 100% remote position, with a preference for someone who is in the Americas timezone.
At GitLab, our team of technical writers is responsible for ensuring that the documentation for all of our products is clear, correct, comprehensive, and easy to use. The Technical Writing team manages the docs.gitlab.com site and its content, processes and tooling.
As a Technical Writer at GitLab, you’ll collaborate with Engineers, who typically write the first draft of docs for the new features they create. You’ll dive in on special projects, planning and authoring new content and helping craft new doc site features and processes. You’ll collaborate with others across the organization to help them contribute to the documentation. You’ll be at the leading edge of DevOps while contributing to one of the world’s largest open-source projects and engaging with our wider community.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$75,600—$145,800 USD
California/New York/New Jersey pay range
$75,600—$162,000 USD
