Technical Writer

Your Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with product managers, product marketing, training and support specialists to identify documentation needs, conduct information analysis, develop documentation plans and produce clear, effective content
• Adhere to Mediaocean technical publications standards and style guidelines and ensure compliance with Mediaocean corporate quality and information security requirements
• Develop knowledge of Mediaocean software, tools used for the job, and Mediaocean clients’ business processes
• Revise documentation for new application versions
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on consolidation, consistency and single-sourcing opportunities
• Support other team members as peer editor and proofreader
• Manage documentation projects and libraries, switching focus between projects as required to manage priorities
• Help produce and edit video eLearning modules
• Keep current on technical publications and instructional design standards and trends, as well as Mediaocean business objectives and trends in the advertising industry
• Develop effective communication skills and play a constructive role at meetings

Who you Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, or a related field
• 1-3 years of professional technical writing experience
• Ability to learn complex software systems quickly and write clear, concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to think analytically and conceptually, perform audience and content analysis, and understand the basics of structuring information
• A self-starter with excellent organizational skills who can gracefully manage and prioritize multiple projects and produce quality deliverables on time, with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow and help maintain corporate style and editorial guidelines
