We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Mobile Assets Program Management Office (MAPMO). MAPMO is responsible for managing a fleet of over 20,000 vehicles deployed across the U.S. and internationally. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving strategic fleet management initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of CBP's operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of consulting and technical skills, including project management, strategic thinking, client communications, leadership briefing, and business writing. Additionally, proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel and potentially SQL, Power Query, and Power BI, will be essential to successfully execute data-driven insights and recommendations.
This position requires an in-office presence in Washington, D.C., at least twice per week, with the potential for increased on-site responsibilities. The candidate will support strategic fleet initiatives to help CBP optimize the efficiency of its fleet. This candidate will require core consulting skills such as project management, strategic thinking, client communications, briefing leadership, and business writing and will require technical skills such as data analytics, Excel, and potentially tools such as SQL, Power Query, Power BI, etc. This role currently requires in-office presence of twice per week, with potential for in-office frequency to increase to five days per week.
The role would require a resource to serve as equal parts functional and technical across strategic fleet management initiatives, driving strategic conversations, creating client communications and briefs, and leading data analysis efforts.
o Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience
o Ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously
o Experience in project management and timely deliverable completion
o Experience leading work products, managing timelines project plans, driving strategic conversations
o Strong skillset in developing communications, client briefs, and engaging in client-facing meetings
o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
o Experience with data analysis
o Experience analyzing data quality and recommending solutions for current challenges
o Candidates must be able to be in-office (DC) at least twice per week, with potential for more.

o Current CBP Public Trust
o Experience in or willingness to learn analytics tools, such as SQL, PowerBI, or Power Automate
o Experience in supply chain or fleet management
