Specifically, Lily AI allows major retailers and brands to:

  • Improve the overall digital shopping experience, nurturing more engaged shoppers with higher eCommerce site conversion
  • Achieve 8-9 digit revenue lifts
  • Assign 10x more attributes for each product - from fit to style, from embellishments to occasion, seasonal and even micro-trends
  • Better understand customer shopping dynamics to inform future product development and assortments as well as improve forecasting

Lily AI is looking for a TechOps Engineer who has experience in all facets of both Cloud and Security Operations. As a member of TechOps on the Lily AI Intelligence Platform, you will have the opportunity to build the core foundation that enables brands and retailers to understand the cognitive attributes of customers online and the 'why' behind 'what they do' in the customer journey.

Technical Requirements:

  • 24/7 Production, on-call, Troubleshooting experience
  • Must be fluent in at least one modern programming/scripting language - eg. Perl, Python, PHP, GoLang, Java, etc
  • Experience deploying and scaling an in-house, production, monitoring system - eg. Prometheus, Icinga2, Nagios, Grafana, CloudWatch (Experience with Cloud Based monitoring such as NewRelic, DataDog, etc. is a bonus, but not required)
  • Expert knowledge managing, maintaining, deploying, and securing modern operating systems based on Enterprise Linux or Debian Linux
  • Experience scaling, automating, securing a modern cloud infrastructure using AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience with Identity Management systems such as LDAP or Active Directory
  • Experience implementing, managing, and scaling a production VPN
  • Experience deploying, scaling, troubleshooting SQL and NoSQL based databases in production
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container based platforms

Non-Technical Differentiators:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related discipline or 5+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to think and solve problems
  • Experience working in small, privately-owned, "start-up" organizations is a must
  • Experience working with global teams, spanning multiple time zones
  • Must be a self-starter, take initiative, understands what it means to take ownership of projects big and small, and handle multiple priorities in parallel
  • Have effective written, verbal, and presentation skills in order to collaborate across multiple teams, corporate cultures and experience levels - both technical and non-technical
  • Understand the difference between proactive and reactive while balancing the needs of both
  • Flexible hours - Lily TechOps is not a 9 to 5 engagement. Some weekends and after-hours project support may be required
  • Must be able to demonstrate prior team and individual accomplishments

Compensation:

Compensation is competitive and will be determined based on a combination of experience, seniority, internal, external equity and location. For some context: this position in the US would pay between $162,000 - $200,000 USD per year, depending on experience and seniority. In other regions, compensation will be adjusted for local currency and local market rates. Lily AI compensation policy is calculated with a focus on equity and where employees can thrive.
