Copywriter/Content Strategist, Email Marketing

Location: Candidates must be local to San Diego or Mountain View, California for 2 days/week on-siteContract Length: 9 months, extension or full-time conversion likely upon budget approval & mutual fitRate: 75.00/hourCome join our CRM Team as a copywriter and content strategist creating best-in-class communications (email, push, in-app experiences) tailored to drive retention and acquisition, and ensuring we deliver consistent and exceptional customer experiences acrossall our customer-facing touchpoints.Leveraging data, behavioral insights, and a vast bank of brand creative assets, you’ll help create best-in-class email campaigns and draft messaging/copy (to be leveraged beyond the email channel) in order to drive engagement and provide actionable solutions to our vast and varied customer segments.Responsibilities● Provide email messaging / copy / insights services to our CRM team, translating campaign briefs and marketers’ visions into best-in-class email campaigns providing clear value propositions, solutions and actions to our customers.● Digest wealth of customer behavioral insights and campaign data to help guide the design and messaging approach, and ensure the relevancy and personalization of all communications.● Ensure brand and messaging guidelines are strictly adhered and/or adapted to the email channel in order to drive the highest clarity of messaging.● Draft push notification and SMS marketing copy and creating visual assets in support of mobile marketing efforts.● Assist in creation and qa of on-the-fly campaigns leveraging email creation platform (e.g. Stensul)● Act as the subject matter expert on email design and copy, representing the CRM team’s design standards/requirements in our design organization forums● Champion customer empathy, learning the ins and outs of all customer segments, and drafting solutions tailored to establish, for each audienceQualifications● Extensive experience with email and direct marketing copy + design best practices, technology and techniques● Solid understanding of marketing cloud platforms; HTML a plus.● Gifted storyteller with ability to distill complex insights and translate them into compelling and simple value propositions● Strong collaborator with stellar communication skills, and ability to operate in a matrix environment● At ease with heavy workloads, prioritization of work and delivering on short timelines● Language specialist with ability to write powerful copy, tailored to an audience● Obsession with detail and perfection, with strong focus on design/copy proofing● Expertise with design tools such as Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator but skilled in creating 'lo-fi' prototypes to share with users in a fast, iterative manner● Strong online portfolio available for viewingAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
