Temporary Custodian

WSU Vancouver is seeking two temporary custodians for a 4-month appointment.

Do you enjoy working hard and being a part of a team with a good work ethic and a good sense of humor? Then please consider joining the WSU Vancouver Facilities Services team as a temporary Custodian to help us maintain a clean, sanitized, and presentable campus for students, faculty and staff.

Typical schedules for Custodians are:

· Summer Night Custodian (through 8/11): Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

· Fall Night Custodian (starting 8/14?): Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

· Day Custodian: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

· Area Coverage Cleaning/Sanitizing & Trash/Recycle Dusting & Detailed Cleaning: 60%

· Floor maintenance: 30%

· General and other duties: 10%

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum age of 18.

Additional Requirements:

· Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

· Must pass a criminal background check.

· Must have or able to obtain at time of hire a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Two (2) years of general custodial experience.

· Experience in large-scale housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance or custodial work.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Monthly Salary: $2,805 to $3,145 ($16.12 - $18.07 / hour), depending on experience.
