PRIMARY DUTY: The Temporary IIC Administrative Assistant will manage and coordinate routine office procedures. This position will serve as the main point of contact for international students wishing to have their OPT application reviewed. This position works hand in hand with the office Designated School Officials, making sure the OPT applications are complete, and I-20 are issued in a timely manner. This position will also contribute to the daily task of the front desk and assist with any administrative overflow. This position will also support the IIC staff in planning the international student orientation and will be assigned individual tasks as well as group projects.

Education: High school diploma
Experience: Two years office experience in a professional office with one year of administrative
Secretarial experience.
Skills: Intercultural appreciation, respect, and communication skills; highly proficient computing skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Excel for scheduling and e-mail); excellent organizational skills, accuracy in proofreading and attention to details; ability to be a contributing member of a team; must have a customer service mindset and a commitment to continuous quality improvement and a demonstrated commitment to diversity.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Air-conditioned office with normal hours from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch. May require some evening and weekend hours.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting with possibility of some lifting; must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
