Pay Grade: Coordinator 5
This position is responsible for administering and proctoring assessments, professional licensure, and certification exams in a secure environment for multiple testing agencies.

Sets up testing rooms and prepares materials for both paper pencil and computer based testing
Administers private testing sessions to candidates with approved accommodations
Administers both in-person and remote testing sessions to College and Career Readiness students.
Monitors and moves around the testing room to ensures students are properly seated to avoid testing irregularities and/or compromises
Travels to offsite locations to administer assessments
Travels to NC prisons and jails to administer High School Equivalency exams, as assigned
Documents and reports all test center irregularities to the test vendor and the Test Center Specialist
Troubleshoots technical issues with the test vendor
Keeps area neat and completes duties such as erasing note boards and sanitizing tables and keyboards after exam completion
Participates in scheduled in-service training, staff meetings and professional development trainings and activities as directed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to pass and maintain certifications for BEST Plus, Pearson Vue, GED, HiSET and TABE.
Ability to work in a library style (quiet) setting for long periods of time.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to diffuse an emotional situation and offer viable solutions.
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
Ability to work with a diverse population
Ability to work independently, be self directed and task oriented
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to review material for accuracy and completeness
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, night and one designated Saturday per month based on testing schedule
