Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Description:
Work along with QA team to build a robust, innovative test and test automation framework and scripts that can be reused across multiple applications, systems, and projects
Participate in the requirement and mapping document review meetings with Business Analysts and the project team
Participate in Sprint Planning, Estimation, and Retrospective meetings and providing inputs for issues relating to QA
Review the design documents and requirements documents for the targeted software applications
Provide guidance on API test design and create API test scripts for each application using ReadyAPI tool
Update JIRA comments when bugs are identified through testing and notify Developers
Create, retest, and ultimately close bugs where there is a discrepancy between actual and expected results
Prepare test summary and completion reports and daily status reports for stakeholder review
Following each software testing cycle, prepare the test summary compression and project signoff
Remain actively involved across Cigniti’s functional, system integration, and regression testing activities to ensure complete coverage is effectively and accurately achieved
Document technical aspects of Cigniti’s test scripts and framework
Should have bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or closely related field
