What are the details?
This is a 1-year communications development program, consisting of two 6-month rotations through a variety of communications functions. You will have the opportunity to develop critical skills, such as developing a communications strategy, campaign planning, content creation and storytelling, project management and channel expertise. Beyond developing the right skills, you will be able to put those skills to the test across core communication areas, including corporate communications, creative project management, giving and volunteering, employee and executive communications and more. For example, you could create exciting content for TI’s social media channels; promote TI to recruit future employees; get hands-on experience in crisis communications; or build internal communications programs to engage employees.
This role is best suited for individuals looking to become proficient in various communication skillsets, while also seeking accelerated growth through dedicated development and networking programs and a broad view of our company.

Develop Powerful Skillsets
• Build a strong understanding of TI’s corporate, employee and leader communication strategies to ensure communication strategies and messaging are aligned.
• Learn concepts and strategic considerations for developing a comprehensive communications plan (internal and/or external), where you get to own the strategy, development, launch, execution of tactics and measurement of results.
• Develop competency in both content and channels to reach TI’s current and future employees, customers, investors, suppliers and local communities.
• Craft compelling, audience-centric messaging, as well as curate and distribute content in various formats and channels for internal and external audiences. As examples, this work may include blogs, videos, email copy, intranet content, presentations and more. As you grow in your knowledge of channels, you may also leverage search, paid advertising, paid aggregation, automated campaigns, social media and/or influencer relations.
• Problem-solve on company-wide communications projects, while planning for different scenarios, applying your personal creativity, maintaining a communication loop with stakeholders and being flexible in the event of change.
• And, along the way, you’ll partner with subject matter experts and develop great working relationships with TIers who live our values every day.
• Upon successful completion of the Communications Development Program, rotators will move into a full-time role based on demonstrated areas of excellence and role availability.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
• Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
Preferred Qualifications
• Masters degree in relevant field
• Internship experience in related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Inquisitive nature with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional, global teams
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Competency in building strong, influential relationships
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Aptitude for taking initiative and driving results
• Capable of working through ambiguity
