About the Role
The Athletic is looking for an Audience Editor to join the newsroom Audience team and partner with the NFL and NBA verticals to reach new readers, while also further engaging current readers. The audience editor will work with the verticals senior editors to inform coverage decisions, pitch timely and evergreen stories that compliment The Athletic’s regular coverage and engage reader interest. Working with the audience team, they will work to maximize the reach of the verticals coverage through search and social best practices and coordinating promotion with the programming and newsletter teams. The audience editor will track and analyze data for the verticals to provide recommendations to editors.
The role is remote and will report into the Newsroom Audience team.
