Location: New Jersey

Hybrid – 3 days in the office

CARIAN is growing! We are a proud, nationally certified woman-owned management consulting firm providing program/project management, capital project delivery, consulting, and technology solutions to our customers in the renewable energy, power utilities, infrastructure, and transit/transportation sectors.

We are searching for a Construction Financial Specialist to join our New Jersey team. The Construction Financial Specialist will support a wide variety of program and project analysis, scheduling, forecasting and budgeting, invoice processing, and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with Construction work scheduling function by maintaining constant communication with construction supervisors and staying on top of on-going and work scheduled in future months.

· Help facilitate Client’s bi-weekly meeting minute notes and agendas

· Support Client’s capital monthly forecasting and accrual process

· Support Client’s internal and external audit requests.

· Backup/Record financial documents (FCD log, Change order log, Invoice log) to better assist with Client’s audit requests.

· Update and maintain record of Construction Receiving reports (full project cash flow provided each month by construction supervisor).

· Gather monthly variance explanations from construction supervisors for forecast overspend/underspend and provide them to respective Project teams in-time.

· Assist Project PCEs with journal entries for mischarged invoices (if any).

· Track/Monitor/Record Client’s invoices, Purchase Order, and Change Orders

· Monitor contractor PO line-item balances and bring to attention when funds are running low

· Support ad hoc reports for program work and project managers · Provide ad-hoc support for business planning process

· Review invoices for accounting and pricing to make sure alignment with contractors MSA.

· Participate in weekly project meetings

· Perform business analysis of client data to prepare reports and trackers in support of the client business needs.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business or similar fields.

· Minimum of 4+ years of business experience.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.

· Strong bookkeeping skills to record all financial transactions and documents.

· Ability to work and manage multiple tasks appropriately.

· Strong data analysis (with MS Excel) is required.

· SAP_FICO, ARIBA Module experience preferred.
