Job Summary:

The Social Media Designer will be responsible for creating compelling visual content that aligns with the strategies set forth by both the paid and organic social media teams. This role is ideal for someone who is digitally native and social media savvy, with a deep understanding of relevant culture, trends, and platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and cross-functional teams to create eye-catching, engaging visuals for various platforms (including Meta, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube) that reflect our brand voice and drive engagement with both target audiences and new demographics. Experience with design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator is required, but more importantly, we’re looking for a designer who knows how to leverage social media trends to craft content that gets noticed. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and drive online engagement.

  • Content Creation: Design and develop visually appealing graphics, animations, and videos tailored for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the brands voice and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the social media paid and organic teams to understand campaign goals and create assets that support promotional strategies.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
  • Platform Optimization: Adapt designs to meet the specifications and best practices of each social media platform, optimizing for both desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain and enhance the brands visual identity across all social media channels, ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
  • Feedback Integration: Incorporate feedback from various stakeholders to refine and improve social media content.
  • Asset Management: Organize and manage a library of social media assets for easy access and reuse.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media design or a related role, preferably within a dynamic and fast- paced environment.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and familiarity with social media management tools.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of social media content across various platforms.
