Are you passionate about sports and working with youth? The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is searching for an Athletic Program Assistant to join our dedicated team! In this part-time role, you will primarily work with local elementary schools, providing students with engaging after-school sports activities. You’ll assist in organizing and facilitating Youth Sports camps and leagues, ensuring that our young athletes have a memorable and enriching experience. The ideal candidate for the Athletic Program Assistant position should have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old (or 17 if you're already a high school graduate). We prefer someone with experience in playing or coaching sports, especially in Soccer, Basketball, or Football. Your responsibilities will include setting up and cleaning up after activities, keeping score, maintaining game records, and managing the distribution and collection of sports equipment. Communication is key, and we particularly value bilingual candidates in English and Spanish to help us serve our diverse community. Although this position only offers up to 19 hours per week with no benefits, the opportunity to make a significant impact in the community is priceless.
