Join our team as we help shape the future.The Scrum Master ensures the Scrum team adheres to Scrum Principles and best practices. Coaches the Scrum Team and removes impediments escalating when appropriate. Partners with the Product Owner, IT Delivery Lead and Business leadership to form execution delivery plans and manage progress and facilitates sprint planning.This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).Responsibilities:• Supports and facilitates generally +1 Scrum Teams in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices.• Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.• Facilitate team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.• Drives release readiness activities and associated tasks. Supports release activities during the night of deployment.• Coach the team(s) to become more independent over time with focus on continuous improvement.• Inspect data to assess team performance to identify growth opportunities.• Utilize 'Rally' to showcase the data and resulting narrative.• Drive Risk identification and proactive risk mitigation.• Ensure risks and issues are proactively communicated/escalated to appropriate levels.• Monitor the flow of work (User Stories) and coordinate within the team to determine optimal work intake and flow in the delivery.Qualifications:• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, including Digital technology, or project management fields• Scrum Master Certification (CSM)• Experience in the insurance industry preferred P&C, API, Digital experience.• Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum Kanban, etc.• Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools such as Rally.• Deep knowledge of Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test Driven development, Automated Testing, Burndown metrics, velocity.• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams preferred.• Strong collaboration and influence skills.• Excellent written and communication skills.• Self-motivated individuals with demonstrated ability to handle multiple high priority demands, manage expectations and achieve objectives.• Able to handle large scope and high complexity within the agile teams.• Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
