1:1 Student RN Registered Nurse or LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

As a 1:1 LPN -OR- Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of an assigned student and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes.

Hours 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mon-Fri, following a school calendar

• Oversee the health and well being of the assigned student and provide medically prescribed services.
• Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school. 
• Document each instance for medication administration and other medical interventions
• Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration
• Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students.
• Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data.
• Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
• Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
• Develop Individual Health Care plans as needed

• Current/Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Illinois

• Considerable knowledge of child growth and development.                       
• Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies.               
• Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services.                                                                                 
• Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served.   
• Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources.
