The Role

We are looking for a skilled Strategy and Analytics Analyst to join the versatile, and welcoming Business Strategy and Analytics team. As a Strategy and Analytics Analyst, you will be responsible for scoping the analysis, cleaning, analysing and interpreting data from a variety of sources, and informing recommendations  to drive business decisions and strategies. You might deliver a quick turnaround analysis, more considered analysis for strategic projects, a decision-making tool for the business to use or a Power BI report to visualise and track performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally to understand the business question, develop analytical solutions, and communicate actionable insights into the business effectively. You enjoy seeing your work influence how the business is run. You like resolving complex problems in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, and are motivated to drive business growth through data.  You are also interested in exploring new data sets that might not be fully productionised yet. You are curious and love learning.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analytical role.
• Experience of analysing customer, product, commercial or pricing data.
• Commercial acumen and first experience in driving business value through insights and storytelling.
• Ability to handle large and imperfect datasets with an understanding of how to analyse, present and visualise data.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate proficiency in Power BI (and a desire to learn)
• Basic knowledge of SQL. R / Python is useful.
• First experience of translating data into actionable insights that improve business performance (and a wish to learn this skill).
• A natural desire to take the initiative and problem-solve.
• Curiosity, a drive to learn and a strong collaborator.
• An interest in human interactions, how people work, and hospitality.
• A university degree in a STEM or (quantitative) social sciences subject, economics, or business administration.
