Industrial Design Intern

Job Summary:At Ditch Witch, a division of The Toro Company, you will contribute to the development of innovative construction equipment. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll play a key role in designing operator interfaces and external features for Ditch Witch products.Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Design new construction equipment components, focusing on operator interfaces and external features.• Generate design concepts through visual and verbal communication.• Assist in 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping.• Participate in team critiques and contribute to design discussions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet design and product goals.• Conduct design research, sketching, mock-up development, and computer modeling.• Plan and participate in ideation exercises and product development processes.• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to monitor project progress.Qualifications and Experience:• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field from an accredited College or University.• Proficiency in digital and physical prototyping skills.• Portfolio demonstrating concept exploration, 3D modeling, rendering, and a clear design process.• Experience with Solid Edge or other solid modeler software.• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Keyshot, or Rhino.• Interest in rapid prototyping and model shop environment.• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.• Accountability, integrity, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.Benefits of the Position:• Competitive pay, anticipated $21.00 to $28.00 per hour depending on school year completed.• Dress for your day policy promoting productivity through comfort.• Volunteerism opportunities with 8 hours of paid time to volunteer.• Summer Hours program (based on location) for a flexible schedule during the summer.Salary: Anticipated pay range of $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, dependent on the year completed in school.About Company:Ditch Witch, a division of The Toro Company, is a leading manufacturer of underground construction equipment.
