Document Controls Technician

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to join our aviation team as an Document Controls Technician in Los Angeles County with the following duties:

Essential Job Duties

  • Control, scan, index, link, hardcopy filing and distribution of documents in Prolog. 
  • Create binders, create labels, and organize and file contract documents.
  • Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project documents and the control and distribution of documents in Prolog Manager.
  • May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element.
  • May be assigned to train new staff on document controls procedures. 
  • May need to drive between office and field locations.
  • May assume other duties as required/needed.
  • May work overtime.
  • Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing a Document Control efforts for a large-scale, billion dollar construction project. 
  • Ensure work is accomplished by deadlines.
  • Be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus.
  • Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer-service attitude.
  • Must be able to occasionally wrap, lift, and move boxes/packages of up to 40-pounds

Education and Training Qualifications:

  • Two year technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience with document processing and data management; document processing experience at large international airports preferred
  • Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
  • Certification for document control professionals highly desirable

Hardware/Software Knowledge: 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required
  • Experience with large-scale Document Control Software is highly desirable (i.e., Prolog and/or Documentum)
  • Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners, optical character recognition

  • Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000
  • Medical, Vision, & Dental – 100% covered for the employee*

  • 10.5 days of Vacation pay (Accrued)
  • 6 days of Sick pay (Available Immediately)
  • 10 days of Holiday pay (9 Holidays, 1 Personal Day)
