Project Manager II and III - County Stormwater and Roads

The Tsui Group is seeking a candidate who is qualified and experienced in educational facility construction projects to serve as a Project Manager for a large public facility client within Los Angeles County with the below duties:

Candidates must possess the following:

  • Manage county Stormwater and Road projects.
  • Work experience in project planning and development.
  • Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project.
  • Ability to develop and control project scope.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project budgets.
  • Ability to develop and review project schedules.
  • Skill in reviewing and coordinating the preparation of construction documents.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate project team and client meetings.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and prepare change orders.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and coordinate construction activities with the various project stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges.
  • Ability to set and manage project expectations.
  • Must be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects such as stormwater quality, diversion, and drainage projects.
  • Experience in transportation infrastructure projects such as airports, roadways, bikeways, pedestrian walkways, and bridge projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Experience in the following is desirable:

  • Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Job Order Contracting (JOC), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), Deferred Maintenance/Refurbishment projects, and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project deliveries

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years (PM I Level) or 10 years (PM II) of progressive experience in managing municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out.
  • Education background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Licensed professional (or demonstrate the ability to obtain license within 6 months of hiring) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Preferred Qualification:

  • Knowledge of Envision
  • Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and familiarity with County practices
  • Knowledge of Greenbook and CSI
  • Knowledge of CEQA
  • Experience with scheduling software using P6 and/or Microsoft Project Online
  • Salary Range:$139,000-$154,000
  • Medical, Vision, & Dental – 100% covered for the employee*

  • 10 days of Holiday pay (9 Holidays, 1 Personal Day)
