Position is eligible for hybrid work subject to University policyJob Summary: The Financial Systems Analyst provides analysis, definition, and direction to computer-related development and maintenance activities. Performs a variety of tasks related to accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. Manages the maintenance, operation, and integrity of the finance system. Develops and prepares financial reports for internal and external users.Additional Department Summary: This position works closely with a team of functional and technical staff to meet business automation needs. The incumbent works as a functional liaison between the department and IT programmers, considering the business implications of programming changes to the business environment. This position works with the functional department users to gather and organize data for reports, graphs, and other needs. Responsibilities will include facilitating the budget data load process; creating and running queries to ensure budget data integrity; assisting campus users with budget development software; test program upgrades; and assist other Finance areas with technical issues.Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of accounting or system administration experience; OR master's degree and three (3) years of accounting or system administration experience.Skills and Knowledge: Advanced MS Excel skills, proficient in MS Office. Working knowledge of relational database systems.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related Business degree such as Management Information Systems.
