Graphic Designer Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers, including business owners, corporate professionals, and busy families.This is a unique opportunity to work locally for a top global brand.Take projects from creation to design and production to final customer delivery.The UPS Store has in-house, local and National resources to execute on a wide range of design production.Graphic Designer Center Associate manages an assortment of small business and professional services - shipping, packing, printing, creating, shredding, sorting, faxing and returning.He or she operates production presses, binding equipment and cutters among other daily tasks.In addition, he or she expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on an array of products and services.He or she is driven to succeed and is an energetic self-starter and team-player who is trustworthy and a fast learner.The UPS Store offers flexible work hours and scheduling.The ideal candidate has previous retail experience. A degree in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field;experience in graphic design or in the print industry is highly desirable.RESPONSIBILITIES• Assist a variety of customers with professional services offered by The UPS Store• Develops creative concepts and builds graphic solutions for customers• Communicates effectively with customers• Offer solutions to complex packaging, shipping, printing and returning tasks• Produces / designs, proofs, and updates materials for customer projects• Develops as a team player• Constantly learn new processes and systems• Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS• Degree - or pursuing degree - in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field• Experience in graphic design or the print industry preferred• Strong computer and internet skills (multiple platforms)• Able to work weekend days as required• Expertise with Adobe based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)• Able to manage and optimize workload, prioritize multiple projects, and streamline tasks• Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail in work• Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Neat, clean, and professional appearanceLast updated : 2024-09-24
