The Coordinator, Consumer Public Relations supports a dynamic team of public relations professionals to showcase, monitor, and maintain The Wonderful Company’s brands through media outreach, events, activations, partnerships, and on social media. This includes identifying current trends and conversations, adapting brand messaging, identifying relevant partners and brand loyalists, developing fun and vibrant pitch angles, enhancing our social media presence - posting, commenting and engaging with fans along the way, staffing media and consumer events, and overall, helping to shape our integrated and evolving approach to communications.

They are part of the corporate communications team and report to the Sr. Director, Consumer PR within the Wonderful Agency, the in-house agency that operates as the exclusive creator of marketing communications and brand experiences for FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, Wonderful Halos, JUSTIN, Landmark Wines, Teleflora and more.

Job Description

  • Assist in social media planning and community management, engaging with and responding to fans and followers.
  • Develop, review and edit presentations for consistency and clarity
  • Draft written communications – from social media responses to blog posts and press releases.
  • Stay up to date on current events and trends, identifying opportunities for our brands to be inserted into the conversation through media outreach, social media, or events/partnerships.
  • Support creative PR strategies and plans to enhance brand campaigns and messaging.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the consumer media landscape including writing press releases and pitches, developing key message documents, and generating coverage.
  • Manage media tracking and assisting on seasonal/quarterly reports.
  • Provide analysis on the impact of our campaigns and initiatives through ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Staff media and consumer activations – may require weekend or evening work
  • Assist the larger Consumer PR team as needed with seeding/mailers and influencer identification.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sr. Director, Consumer PR and larger Consumer PR team
  • Collaborate with brand teams, and work cross-functionally with our marketing, advertising, research, and legal teams.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or events.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or Marketing.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong media pitching and writing skills, with an emphasis on consumer and lifestyle media, trades, bloggers, and social media.
  • Ability to adapt to change, open to new ideas, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful team player that takes ownership of projects and acts as a solution provider.
  • Accurate and consistent attention to detail.
  • Creative and innovative mindset.
  • Passion for pop culture and staying current on the latest trends.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as some activities/events may take place during evenings or weekends.

Pay Rate: $27.00-$29.00 per hour and may include a discretionary bonus.  Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
