Preschool Internship - Immediate

The Preschool Associate Teacher embraces the individuality of each student and provides a safe and nurturing environment for all children. The Preschool Associate Teacher is responsible for supporting developmentally appropriate practices in an early childhood setting.

We are seeking a motivated and responsible college student majoring in Child Development or Early Childhood Education for a full-time 12-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands-on professional experience and learn how the department runs. This position is located at Wonderful College Prep Academy in Lost Hills. 

• Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, as it relates to a Preschool Center in the State of California.
• Support planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate activities across all developmental domains to meet the needs of each child.
• Encourage children to solve conflicts on their own
• Interact with children and parents to create a welcoming environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a “child-centered” program that addresses the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of young children
• Model kindness, consideration, and respect
• Attend and participate in all relevant staff, center, and community meetings, activities, and events

• Pursuing a degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
• Must have completed 12 core units of child development.
• Prior working experience in a early childhood environment., preferred.
• Pediatric CPR, first aid, and AED certification or willing to get certified.
• Live Scan clearance. 
• This internship is based in Lost Hills, CA.

Pay: $17.50/hour
