Warehouse Lead (Vacaville)

About the Role: 


The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the overall warehouse team operations.  This position leads warehouse personnel to receive, store, and rotate all materials and products associated with our food production operations. 


This position is full-time and 100% on-site in Vacaville, CA.


What you’ll do:
  • Assist leadership with the development, implementation, and maintenance of warehouse policies and procedures; ensure all established policies and procedures are followed by the warehouse team
  • Support and monitor all shipping, receiving, and storage activities performed by the warehouse team while maintaining a high degree of visibility and efficiency
  • Ensure staff comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Help ensure the delivery of materials to production and kitchen lines in accordance with production schedules
  • Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and other teams for all shipping needs
  • Ensure the team adheres to all sanitation/safety regulations in food acceptance, storage, and distribution
  • Support internal QA Audits with QA Team weekly while supporting preventative measures to reduce the level of infractions and build internal team discipline
  • Assist with maintaining the warehouse in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition; ensure food is stored at the correct temperature conditions and food handling activities comply with applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What you’ll bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years experience in a similar warehouse role; experience in food manufacturing highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse team at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated working proficiency in leading and motivating a team
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and GMP compliance standards
  • Working Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices in a manufacturing environment (cGMP)
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
  • Able to drive forklift, scissor lift, and electric pallet jack
  • You are computer savvy; able to use Excel, Word, Google Docs, Data Studio, Galley   
  • Proficiency with basic math skills and data entry
  • Forklift certified (preferred) or ability to become forklift certified
  • Valid NJ Food Handlers Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)


$27 - $30 an hour
The starting hourly rate for this position is $27.00 out of the pay band range of $27.00 - $30.00 and represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of the posting.
