Elkhorn, WI

Full Time Opportunity 

OVERVIEW/HOURS: Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30 pm and Friday 8-12 pm---hybrid role possible for Friday

We provide all aspects of dentistry from routine dental exams and equilibration to advanced dentistry such as fillings, endodontics, periodontal therapies, and oral surgery.

Midwest Veterinary Dental Services is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Maintain professional and courteous demeanor in challenging/stressful situations
  • Maintain and manage communication between front and back-office teams
  • Utilize interoffice email communication, including the ability to add attachments to emails
  • The ability to learn to prepare and maintain accurate patient medical records
  • Greet & direct clients/patients
  • Schedule & confirm appointments/procedures for our small animal / equine veterinarians
  • Ability to learn to process & reconcile financial payments
  • Ability to learn to process financial reports (daily, monthly, etc)
  • Ability to learn to process monthly statements and collection accounts
  • Process monthly patient reminders
  • Confirm appointments with clients via call and text
  • Communicate messages with doctors/clients via phone, text, calendar & email.
  • Emails Communication: client requests, prescription requests from Online store
  • Referral Correspondence: organize referral information & coordinate with doctors on treatment plans and scheduling of referral appointments
  • Email consultation, pathology reports, lab results, & surgery reports to referring doctors
  • Admit & discharge small animal / equine surgery patients
  • Additional duties may include assisting with patients
  • Prepare all surgery documents and consent forms for surgeries & procedures in advance
  • Scan and attach any post-surgery documents
  • Organize labs received into patient files & communicate results with doctors
  • Schedule intern and extern requests for veterinary students as needed
  • Client hospitality: stock/clean coffee area & bake frozen cookies, make sure clients waiting for patients are comfortable.
  • Must have general knowledge/experience working with small / large animals
  • Other clerical & assistant duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds from floor level and above as needed.
  • The ability to work in a stationary position at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to grasp, hold, and manipulate objects
  • Possess vision abilities to detect, observe and assess, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Potential for exposure to zoonotic diseases
