Field DEI Coordinator

Aligned with Thrivent’s DEI strategy, the Field DEI Coordinator plans, manages, and executes internal Field DEI activations and Thrivent’s presence at external events. The role also provides support for our four Advisor Resource Groups.Working with internal partners, this role directly supports Thrivent’s Field DEI (Distribution and Operations) team to effectively manage each ARG and event opportunity to ensure the desired outcomes and experiences for both participants and Thrivent colleagues.This position reports to the Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and is a key contributor to the overall success of the DEI team.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • This position will interact, collaborate and support ARG Co-chairs and DEI leads.• This role will develop and deliver event management tools and best practices for a consistent, cost-effective experience.• When necessary, partner with Events Planning team to book venues and execute larger events.• Works collaboratively with internal and external event organizers to plan and manage the logistical support needed.• Presenting post-event reports• Execute event contracts and coordinate payments.• Oversee collection of relevant participant and organizational information.• Partner with Director, DEI to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards DEI goals.• Models Thrivent’s leadership competencies – courage, collaboration, and commitment by demonstrating resiliency, working together to make the best decisions, and holding yourself and others accountable.• Supports and/or develops an environment in which Thrivent employees and colleagues are focused on continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and an unwavering commitment to our clients. Shapes and/or supports a culture that represents the Thrivent purpose, promise and values, ensuring that Thrivent’s trust and reputation remain strong with its clients.• Collaborate with Director, DEI to identify key internal and external Field DEI activations, plan and execute as appropriate.• Develop close partnerships with ARG Co-chairs to improve systems and provide administrative support.• Advance relationships with events management, LGOs, Field COEs and TAG leaders to effectively communicate and coordinate events and ARG activations.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, event management, public relations preferred• 3+ years relatable experience working with sponsorships, admin. support, event planning, project management.• Excellent written and verbal communications skills• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and implement tactical plans.• Attention to detail and management of deadlines.• Ability to manage multiple projects/events/relationships simultaneously.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Notes, Teams, Zoom, etc.Other Critical Factors• Periodic travel (aprox. 25%)Pay TransparencyThrivent’s long-term growth depends on attracting, rewarding, and retaining people who are committed to helping others thrive with purpose. The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $64,161.00 - $86,806.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions.
