UCPath serves more than 230,000 employees from each UC campus and medical center as well as vendors, location administrators, providers and policymakers from the University of California Office of the President.UCPath staff work in a variety of areas including payroll, HR administration, benefits, product management, finance, customer service, technology and training.POSITION SUMMARYThis is a TEMPORARY position within our Temporary Office of the President Staffing (TOPS) program. It involves developing, implementing and/or maintaining recruitment and other employment and sourcing programs and policies. Provides advice and counsel on employment practices and recruitment processes.Seeking a professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.Uses professional employment and staffing techniques and concepts for employment, sourcing programs, and policies for the organization. Employment and search efforts are of moderate scope and complexity. Works on staffing/ employment for skilled operational and technical and professional level positions. Normally receives general direction on staffing and employment assignments, with more detailed direction provided on new or more specialized and complex assignments.Exercises judgment within defined staffing and employment procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Works with internal and external contacts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Under general supervision, provides necessary support to a decentralized employment process• Works in a collaborative manner with assigned business units, other areas of HR and outside recruiters/agencies on matters pertaining to staffing needs• Participates in employment advertising campaigns and programs• Prioritizes work assignments, conducts analysis and helps develop resulting recommendations on assigned project• Applies organization policies and procedures in addressing and resolving moderately complex staffing needs• May source, screen, interview and recommend candidates for skilled operational and technical and professional levels• Heavy coordination of interviews, and screens for Recruiters and interview committees• Source candidates by using databases and social media and other professional networks• Use recruiting tools and assignments to assess candidates' skills• Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions and talent acquisition system• Applies professional employment and staffing techniques and concepts• May work with external resources including temporary agencies, contract search and internet sourcing tools• Engages in networking and outreach related activities to build and assess qualified applicants, as needed• Stay up to date with current recruitment methods• Attend job fairs and career/internship events• Conduct reference checks when needed• Conducts research and analyzes data on assigned projects• Provides general administrative support as neededWORK EXPERIENCE• Minimum of 3 years of experienceEDUCATION• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/trainingSPECIAL CONDITIONSThis position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The person hired will be required to reside within California and will be required to report to work onsite at UC Path located in Riverside, CA.SALARY AND BENEFITSThe University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
