This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. This term could be extended based on company business needs.CW-Info Systems Engineer IIIThe Information Systems Engineer designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.Key Responsibilities and Duties• Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.• Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.• Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.• Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, addresses stakeholder requirements and providing clients consultations to shape the future success of EA.• Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.• Providing EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.• Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.• Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.• Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.• Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.Educational Requirements• Bachelor's Degree RequiredWork Experience• 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years PreferredPhysical Requirements• Physical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level7ICThis role is hybrid. The locations in considerations are: Iselin, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Broomfield, DenverSummaryContingent worker to provide day to day operation and support in the Mainframe Adabas and/or DB2 database platforms. Understand mainframe operation in the IBM z/OS platform.Key Responsibilities• Adabas, Natural DB2 Database Administration, implementation, and maintenance• Enforce environment standards like object naming, security, backup and recovery and database administration• Strong working knowledge of the Adabas and DB2 Utility suite• Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of application databases, including on-call support• Resolve database performance, capacity and other database related issues• Manage database backup and recovery• Prepare, maintain and execute disaster recovery plans• Troubleshoot application database issues• Oversee, and optimize all database maintenance (i.e. update statistics, etc) and backup processes• Understanding of ITIL Change/Incident managementRequired & Preferred Skills• Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting/administering DB2 in z/OS, DB2 v12 or greater• Experience with z/OS operating system• Knowledge of VSAM, EntireX, JCL, CICS, TSO, ISPF, REXX, IBM Mainframe Utilities and DB2 Admin Tool• Understanding of RACF security tool• Proficiency in Office 365 and text editors, JIRA• Ability to learn quickly on the job, open to learn different systems and data platforms• Strong communication skills and experience in customer interaction in requirements gathering• Skills in writing scripts to automate and schedule the jobs (Reorg, Runstats, Modify, Image copy, Restore, Load/ Unload, Repair etc)Start Date: 01-Oct-2024End Date: 30-May-2025Travel Required: NoAnticipated Posting End Date:2024-09-06Base Pay Range: $45.43/hr. - $78.37/hr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location._____________________________________________________________________________________________________Equal OpportunityWe are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
