We are seeking talented individuals who enjoy the intersection of product, data, design, and engineering to help us reach the next milestone of billions of users.In the Organic Acquisition, User Growth team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with external traffic platforms (e.g. Search Engine, major Social Media products, various third-party Websites and apps, etc.) to provide TikTok's high-quality content and services to them for brand impression and click conversion, thereby obtaining high-quality user traffic. You can lead technical directions such as content mining, content understanding, web UI presentation strategies, and design A/B testing frameworks to measure the contribution of these technologies to traffic acquisition. We encounter a diversity of technical challenges, allowing you to get a firsthand look at what technologies the most innovative organizations are using and be able to build up a bottom-up growth strategy from scratch. You'll be joining a full-stack team that can leverage all of TikTok's existing frameworks and be a part of designing and implementing new techniques and foundation work that can further improve user experience and showcase TikTok's user traffic growth value proposition.As a Tech Lead Manager, you will:• Lead and grow a business engineering team of 10+ backend and frontend engineers to build a solid foundation for user growth.• Leverage data to understand our users and our content system in-depth, identify areas of opportunity and execute projects to drive user growth.• Lead and develop large-scale software systems that power TikTok user acquisition strategies.• Lead and improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product.• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:• Experienced in building services for large-scale consumer-facing applications, experienced in search and social media is preferred;• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++;• Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms;• Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:• 2 years experience leading a backend/ full-stack engineering team;• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or related major.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
