Opportunity Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Intern to create a Funding Initiative knowledge base for the organization. This role will focus on sourcing funds from education and healthcare budgets to support mental health and telehealth initiatives across higher education, K-12, and public health sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for diving deep into analysis and developing research based outcomes for this specific initiative. Specifically, the initiative will identify grants, mandates, and funding opportunities at the federal, state and system levels for the Health, ISD and Higher Education markets.
What You’ll Do- Identify Funding Opportunities: Research and identify funding sources at federal, state, and system levels, including grants, mandates, and other funding mechanisms to support mental health and student success initiatives.
- Research State and System Priorities: Conduct comprehensive research on state, K-12 and higher education system priorities to align funding opportunities with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Develop Funding Strategies: Create and implement effective funding strategies that leverage both education and healthcare budgets to maximize available resources.
- Grant Identification: Identify grant proposals and outline funding application requirements, working with teams and/or clients to ensure alignment with funding sources and organizational objectives.
- Monitor Funding Landscape: Stay informed about changes and trends in the funding landscape, including new funding opportunities, changes in legislation, and shifts in state and federal priorities.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of funding sources, application statuses, and outcomes. Provide regular updates and reports to key leaders and team members on funding activities and successes. Partner with marketing on creating materials that disseminate information across appropriate channels.
- Collaboration and Networking: Support the marketing, revenue and strategy teams in establishing relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations, to facilitate funding opportunities.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in related fields required and actively pursuing a Master of Information Management and Systems or Master of Business Administration or a similar field, preferred
- Prior experience working in a business environment as an intern or full-time employee, preferred.
- Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information, and to devise and develop statistical analyses and reports.
- Strong written, oral and data visualization skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced collaborative and diverse team environment.
